asked the Minister for Health if he will issue instructions to all health boards advising them to use Irish fabric in all screening and curtain fabrics used in their hospitals.

Under Article 30 of the Treaty of Rome, this country is prohibited from promoting the purchase of Irish goods, exclusively.

However, health boards are instructed to give Irish manufacturers every opportunity to tender when seeking quotations for any commodity.
