asked the Minister for the Environment the reasons for the delay in paying a new house grant and a mortgage interest subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick who notified his Department last March that he was awaiting inspection and is still awaiting it.
There has been no undue delay in my Department in dealing with this case. This house was examined by my Department's inspector earlier this month who reported that some outstanding works have to be carried out. When the applicant informs my Department that these works have been completed, a further inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of grant and subsidy.
