* Statistics in relation to health board long stay geriatric homes and health board welfare homes are not readily available in a format to enable the calculation of average weekly cost per occupied bed. The costs shown for these centres relate to average weekly cost per patient. Due to the extremely high occupancy levels in these centres average weekly cost per patient would match very closely the average weekly cost per occupied bed. The figures cover both in-patient and out-patient costs where such costs arise.
