asked the Taoiseach the number of people unemployed in County Roscommon on 31 October 1984; the number under 25 years of age; and if he will give a breakdown between male and female.

The following table shows the number of persons on the live register at each local employment office in County Roscommon on 26 October 1984, classified by sex and distinguishing those under 25 years of age.

The above table is based on office of registration rather than area of residence. A special analysis of the live register according to area of residence is carried out quarterly. On 24 August 1984, the latest date for which information is available, there were 2,090 persons, (1,523 males and 567 females), on the live register who were usually resident in County Roscommon. No information on the age of registrants is available from this analysis.
