Vol. 353 No. 11

Written Answers. - Milk Levy Payments.

416.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will make an application to Brussels for a deferment of milk super-levy payments until our national implementation problems are solved.

At the Council meeting earlier this week nine member states, including Ireland, were in favour of a postponement of any super-levy payments and the Commission was asked to defer collection until mid-February. The Commission have not yet made a decision on this request but, in order to provide more time for consideration of it, have postponed for ten days the payment date of 15 November previously fixed.
