Vol. 354 No. 2

Written Answers. - County Waterford School.

659.

asked the Minister for Education when work will commence on the reconstruction of Mweelahorna national school, Ring, County Waterford, for which money was sanctioned six years ago, and which is now urgently required because of the appalling conditions of the pre-fab classrooms.

The reconstruction project for Mweelahorna national school, Ring, County Waterford for which a grant was sanctioned approximately six years ago was not proceeded with due to a change of mind by the school authorities. My Department has at present under consideration a further sketch scheme which inter alia provides for the replacement of the pre-fab classroom, and expects in the near future to communicate with the school authorities about the matter. It is not possible at this stage to say when work on the building may commence.
