Vol. 354 No. 4

Written Answers. - Laghey (Donegal) Sewerage Scheme.

600.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment whether departmental approval has been given to Donegal County Council in respect of the proposed sewerage scheme for Laghey, County Donegal; and whether, in view of the relatively low cost of this small scheme, special clearance can be given for the work to be put in hand when contract documents have been approved.

I have approved the preliminary report submitted by Donegal County Council for the Laghey sewerage scheme. It is now a matter for the county council to prepare and submit contract documents for the scheme to my Department for examination and approval. The question of finance will not arise until the scheme is fully approved.
