asked the Minister for Justice if the crime rate for Dublin in 1984 increased or decreased; and the percentage either way.

Limerick East): I am informed by the Garda authorities that the final crime statistics for 1984 are not yet available but that provisional figures for the first ten months of that year show a decrease of around 7½ per cent in the number of indictable offences recorded in the Dublin Metropolitan Area over the same period in 1983.
