asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism in respect of himself and each Minister of State assigned to his Department, the total cost including air and surface transport, accommodation, subsistence, drivers' pay and car expenses of all travel at home and abroad in the year ending 31 December 1984.

The provision of cars for Ministers is a matter for the Minister for Justice and the cost of such cars is borne on the Vote for his Department. The refunds of transport costs to Ministers of State (i.e. drivers' pay and subsistence and motor mileage) amounted to
