Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange the immediate payment of the balance of a grant for a group water scheme (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

This group have been asked by my Department to submit details of actual expenditure on the completed scheme to enable the total amount of grants due to be determined. I cannot say at this stage when a final payment of grants may issue to the group.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This grant was paid on 11 January 1985.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make arrangements to pay the final instalment of a house mortgage subsidy of £250 to a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The final instalment of mortgage subsidy in this case will be paid shortly.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the inspection and payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

There was no avoidable delay in dealing with this case. The applicant's file has been referred for final inspection and this will be carried out as soon as possible. The grant will be paid if the inspection establishes that the house is satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house is satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all conditions applying to the grant scheme have been met. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
