Vol. 355 No. 1

Written Answers. - Arbour Hill Memorial.

371.

asked the Minister for Finance if in view of the continuing vandalism at the 1916 Memorial at Arbour Hill he can arrange for permanent security, military police or other appropriate personnel to be provided at the Memorial.

I have not received any reports of vandalism to the 1916 Memorial at Arbour Hill. Permanent security has been provided for many years by a full time caretaker employed by the Commissioners of Public Words. The house occupied by the caretaker adjoins the Memorial and it overlooks the area.
