Vol. 355 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

372.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

A new house grant will be paid in this case when an inspection establishes that the house is complete and occupied and complies with all the conditions of the new house grant scheme. An inspection will be carried out shortly in this case.

373.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether a grant has been allocated in respect of a new house grant application from a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

This application for a new house grant was refused in December 1983 because the floor area of the house was in excess of the maximum allowable (i.e. 125 square metres). Subsequently following representations by the Deputy a further inspection was carried out in December 1984. However, the floor area of the house was still over the maximum area for grant purposes and the applicant was advised accordingly.
