Vol. 355 No. 7

Written Answers. - Cost of Inquiries.

412.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism the total cost to the State of each public/judicial inquiry held under the aegis of his Department in the past ten years; and the individual cost in each case.

I presume the question relates to inquiries into matters of urgent public importance such as those provided for in the Tribunals of Inquiry (Evidence) Acts, 1921 and 1979. No such inquiries have been held under the aegis of my Department in the past ten years.
