Vol. 355 No. 7

Written Answers. - Cost of Inquiries.

418.

asked the Minister for the Environment the total cost to the State of each public/judicial inquiry under the aegis of his Department in the past ten years; and the individual cost in each case.

It is assumed that the question relates only to inquiries held under the Tribunal of Inquiries (Evidence) Act, 1921. The Stardust Inquiry was the only one held under the aegis of my Department under this Act in the past ten years. The total cost was £1.25 million.
