Vol. 355 No. 7

Written Answers. - Super-Levy Regulations.

569.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he considers that it is unfair that dairy farmers who sold land prior to the super-levy agreement in Brussels but in the period of the reference year should now find that they have unwittingly sold their milk quota even though there was no reference to the milk quota in the contract of sale; and the steps he will take to ensure that such land sales will not have the quota attached to the land.

Under the Community super-levy regulations a person who purchases land which has a milk quota attached is entitled to that quota. I am therefore precluded from taking any steps contrary to that arrangement.
