Vol. 355 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Cork Garda Barracks.

576.

asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the delay in making the full complement of gardaí available to the new Garda barracks in Mahon, Blackrock, County Cork.

, Limerick East): The detailed deployment of Garda manpower is a matter for the Garda authorities who have informed me that they have arranged a phased allocation of Garda manpower to the new station at Blackrock. I understand that one sergeant and four gardaí were assigned to the station when it opened on 20 December 1984, that two more gardaí are taking up duty there today and that it is proposed to allocate a further four gardaí there over the next few weeks.
