, Limerick East): I am informed by the Garda authorities that such detailed statistics of indictable offences for the years prior to 1976, when computerisation was introduced, are not now available. The only available information is that published in the Annual Crime Reports of the Commissioner which gives statistics on a divisional basis only. Copies of those reports are available in the Oireachtas library.
I am also informed that the statistics requested for 1984 are not yet available but figures for 1983 are given in the following tabular statement.
