Following agreement with the school authorities on the amount of the local contribution, my Department on 25 July 1984 sanctioned a grant towards the cost of the new national school referred to. The Commissioners of Public Works are at present preparing a developed sketch scheme for the project, with a view to the school authorities' seeking planning permission, and the completion by the commissioners of the remaining stages of architectural planning.
