Vol. 355 No. 10

Written Answers. - County Cork School.

653.

asked the Minister for Education if she is aware that the parents of the children attending Rathcormac national school are dissatisfied with the pre-fab being erected; the stage of planning of the extension to the school; and if she will state the number of pupils enrolled in this school.

I am not aware of any local dissatisfaction with the two prefabricated classrooms at Rathcormac national school, County Cork, towards the cost of which my Department sanctioned a grant. With regard to the proposed permanent extension to this school, the school authorities were authorised in August 1984 to engage their own architect to prepare and submit for consideration by the Commissioners of Public Works a sketch scheme for the project and this is awaited. The average number of pupils attending this school during the quarter ended 31 December 1984 was 146.6.
