Vol. 355 No. 10

Written Answers. - Youth Employment Scheme.

657.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will supply details of the total amount of grants paid to the Dáil constituencies of Cork North Central and Cork South Central between November 1982 and January 1985, under the youth employment scheme; the location of the works; and the number of people employed on each scheme.

It is not possible to break down the grants approved according to Dáil constituencies. A total amount of £1,735,445 was approved by way of grants from November 1982 to December 1984, inclusive, in respect of County Cork under my Department's youth employment scheme, of which £1,383,395 was paid. Particulars of the schemes approved in the period November 1982 to December 1983 are set out in the following tabular statement. Corresponding details in respect of 1984 were given in reply to a Dáil Question by Deputy Frank Crowley on 30 January 1985.
