I have been informed by Bord Gáis Eireann that they are having discussions with Wexford Gas Company to examine whether natural gas could be brought to Wexford town on an economically viable basis. These discussions are at a preliminary stage only and it will probably be some time before BGE can assess options and indicate whether such a project would be viable.
