Sketch plans for the proposed new national school at Tashinny, County Longford, have been completed and will be sent to the Department of Education within a few days for approval. I appreciate that conditions in the existing school are unsatisfactory and every effort will be made on the part of the Office of Public Works to deal with the detailed planning of the new school expeditiously when authorised to proceed.
