Vol. 356 No. 7

Written Answers. - Redundancy Payment.

658.

asked the Minister for Labour when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be paid redundancy payment as her case was heard at the tribunal on 9 January 1985.

I understand that the Employment Appeals Tribunal will issue its decision shortly on the appeal concerned under the Redundancy Payments Acts. If the tribunal decides that the appellant is entitled to payment of a redundancy lump sum, she should apply to her employer for payment. If her employer refuses or fails to pay within a reasonable time, she should apply to my Department for payment from the Redundancy and Employers' Insolvency Fund. The application for payment from the fund should be made on form RP14, which is available from the redundancy payments section of my Department on request.
