The question of subdivision arose in the context of an agreement entered into last July for the sale to my Department of certain lands owned by the person referred to. The necessary Land Commission consent to subdivision has recently been obtained. Some aspects of the transaction still remain to be settled to the satisfaction of the Chief State Solicitor but it is anticipated that these will be resolved and the sale closed well within the period of 12 months specified in the agreement.
