asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give full details of financial allocations to local authorities under each heading for the year 1985 and the corresponding amount paid in each case in 1984, 1983 and 1982; and if he will give details of the percentage increase or decrease in the 1985 financial allocations in comparison with the 1984 allocations.

There is no change in the position as set out in the reply to the Deputy's Questions Nos. 286, 287 and 288 on 22 January 1985 (Official Report — Volume 355, No. 1), with the exception of house purchase and improvement loans, details of which are set out in the following tabular statement:

The above are initial allocations for 1985 and will be subject to adjustment later in the year (as is normal practice) to take account of the demand for payment of loans in each local authority area. They are not, therefore, comparable with the final allocations for 1984 given in reply to the previous questions.
