Vol. 356 No. 8

Written Answers. - Dublin Stores Industrial Dispute.

512.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will arrange for the appointment of a mediator to act in the Dunnes Stores disputes (details supplied) as all other attempts by the trade union involved have been unsuccessful.

I understand that dialogue has been established between the parties with a view to reaching a solution. In the circumstances it would be inappropriate for me to intervene. I would however urge the parties to adopt a positive approach in their negotiations and hopefully find an amicable solution to this long and difficult dispute.
