asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

There was no undue delay in my Department in dealing with this case. This applicant was asked in October 1984 to notify my Department when certain outstanding works have been carried out. When the notification is received an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of the grant, if in order.
