The improvement of this road falls to be considered in the context of the development of proposals for the construction of a new 21km road project from Balbriggan by-Pass to Dunleer by-Pass. Meath County Council has commenced preliminary surveys related to this project and my Department gave a grant commitment of £160,000 last year towards the cost of the design.
