Vol. 356 No. 11

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

499.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will reconsider his decision on the application of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny for a £1,000 new house grant; and if he will accept the new proposals of the applicant to reduce the floor area of his house.

Revised plans submitted recently by the person named have been referred to my Department's inspector for investigation and report. The case will be considered again when the report is received.

500.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a house improvement grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

A grant cannot be allowed in this case because, contrary to a statutory condition of this scheme, the work had commenced before an inspection of the house was carried out. The applicant has been so informed.

501.

asked the Minister for the Environment when the final inspection of a new house for the payment of a £1,000 grant will be carried out for a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

There is no record of the receipt in my Department of an application for a new house grant from the person named. An application has, however, been received from a person of the same surname and same address. The file in this case has been referred to my Department's inspector and an inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
