Vol. 356 No. 12

Written Answers. - Tax Refund.

481.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in having a tax refund made available to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an amended certificate of tax-free allowances for the current year, 1984-85, granting an increased portion of her husband's tax-free allowances, was recently issued to the taxpayer. The tax which had been overdeducted from her earnings since 6 April last will, in the ordinary course, be refunded to the taxpayer by her employer on the operation of this certificate.
