Vol. 357 No. 7

Written Answers. - FCA Re-enlistment Application.

607.

asked the Minister for Defence if there is any position within the FCA for which a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 would be suitable as he was discharged from the FCA for health reasons and has now reapplied.

Defence Force regulations prescribe that a person who has been discharged from the Defence Forces on the grounds of his being below army physical standards shall be ineligible for enlistment. The person in question was discharged from the Reserve Defence Force on the grounds of being below such standards. He cannot, therefore, be considered for re-enlistment.
