The preparation of contract documents in respect of the proposed extension to Lisavaird national school, County Cork is well advanced and it is expected that the project will be ready for tender by June 1985. The approval of the Department of Education to the invitation of tenders will be required. It is not yet possible to say when building works will commence.
I indicated to the Deputy in reply to a parliamentary question on 22 January 1985 that I expected that tenders would be invited by about the end of April 1985 but it has not been possible to meet this deadline.
