Vol. 357 No. 11

Written Answers. - Roscommon Hospital Appointment.

577.

asked the Minister for Health if he will provide the necessary funding for the appointment of an obstetrician/gynaecologist in the maternity wing of Roscommon County Hospital; and the reasons for the long delay in making this appointment.

I would refer the Deputy to our previous full discussion of this matter on Tuesday, 6 December 1983 (Official Report — Volume 346, Question No. 16 — columns 1059-1062) and to my written answer on Tuesday 6 March 1984 (Official Report — Volume 348, Question No. 423 — columns 1354-1355). The position remains substantially the same as outlined in those replies.
