The plans for the development of opthalmic and ENT services in Cork involve the transfer of opthalmic services from the Cork Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital to the Cork Regional Hospital and ENT services to the other voluntary hospitals. The question of the appointment of further consultants in each of these specialities will be considered in the light of these developments.
