The National Genealogical Office is funded by my Department as part of the National Library of Ireland. It is not the practice to provide grants for local societies such as the one referred to in the question. However, as stated in Parliamentary Question No. 599 on Wednesday, 8 May, an application by the society for a teamwork scheme is currently under consideration by the Department of Labour and the Youth Employment Agency.
