Vol. 358 No. 5

Written Answers. - Whitechurch (Dublin) School.

728.

asked the Minister for Education if, as a matter of urgency, she will approve the plans for the building of the new Whitechurch parish school; and the current position in relation to this matter.

My Department has agreed in principle to grant aid the erection of a new national school at Whitechurch Road, Rathfarnham, County Dublin. I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that they will shortly be in a position to furnish to my Department their recommendations on the sketch plans submitted to them by the school authorities, and I am asking the commissioners to expedite the matter as much as possible. It is not possible to say at this stage when the new school is likely to be completed.
