I propose to take Questions Nos. 729 and 730 together,
Architectural planning of the proposed new secondary school for girls in Swords has reached the stage where my Department awaits the submission of amended working drawings by the school authorities.
I have also recently approved the provision of another post primary school, for boys and girls, in Swords, under the control of the County Dublin Vocational Education Committee. The school will open in short term accommodation in September 1985. Architectural planning of the new permanent school building will be initiated as soon as possible. I am satisfied that there will be sufficient post primary accommodation in Swords to cater for all pupils in the area seeking places next September.
There are no plans for the provision of a post primary school in the Portrane/Donabate area in the immediate future as pupil numbers would not warrant it.
