Vol. 359 No. 9

Written Answers. - Rathkeale (Limerick) School.

361.

asked the Minister for Education if she will make a statement on the progress made to date on the provision of a new second level school in Rathkeale, County Limerick.

The new post primary school which has been sanctioned for Rathkeale will replace the existing convent and vocational schools. The existing vocational school building will be retained as part of the new school and it is proposed to build the balance of the accommodation on an adjacent site. Negotiations with regard to the purchase of the new site are in progress. Consultants have been appointed for the project and architectural planning will proceed when the question of the site has been resolved.
