Written Answers. - County Monaghan Schools.

367.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in the acceptance of a tender for the extension to Clontibret national school, County Monaghan.

My Department has under consideration a submission dated 10 June 1985 from the Commissioners of Public Works regarding the question of placing a contract for the proposed extension to Clontibret national school, County Monaghan. A decision on the matter will be conveyed as soon as possible to the school authorities.

368.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the proposed extention to Corracrin national school, County Monaghan; and when it will be advertised for tender.

My Department has under consideration an outline sketch scheme, together with comments, received on 13 June 1985 from the Commissioners of Public Works in connection with the proposed extension to Corracrin national school, County Monaghan. Subject to the scheme being found satisfactory from the educational standpoint and to there being agreement on a suitable local contribution towards the cost a grant will be sanctioned and my Department will be in a position to arrange to have the further architectural planning undertaken.

It is not possible to say at this stage when the project may be advertised for tender.
