The provision of television services is a matter for RTE in the first instance under existing legislation. I have no proposals from RTE on the launching of a Telefís na Gaeltachta service. Such research as has been carried out in this matter suggests, regrettably, that the cost and programming difficulties involved are such that the service could not be supported at present.
