Vol. 360 No. 5

Written Answers. - Casual Trading Act.

17.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism if he intends to amend the legislation dealing with casual trading in view of the Director of Public Prosecution's decision at a recent court case (details supplied) in Kenmare, County Kerry.

The information which is available to me at present in relation to the case in question does not indicate any need to amend the provisions of the Casual Trading Act, 1980. The decision referred to was not due to any defect in the Act.
