Funds have been provided to Monaghan County Council out of moneys made available to my Department under the Speical Border Areas Programme for the purchase of Lough Muckno Castle and Estate (£300,000) and for a special development project (£490,500). I am not aware that the amounts provided will not be sufficient to complete the approved development in this case.
