Vol. 361 No. 2

Written Answers. - County Monaghan Schools.

88.

asked the Minister for Education when it is expected to commence the extension to the vocational educational schools in Carrickmacross and Castleblayney, County Monaghan; and the present stage of development.

The working drawings for the proposed extension to Carrickmacross vocational school have been completed and approved by my Department. The next stage in the planning process is the submission by the vocational education committee of the bills of quantities. These are awaited in my Department.

A revised outline sketch scheme for the proposed extension to Castleblayney vocational school has been submitted by the vocational education committee and is at present being examined in my Department. Pending completion of the planning process, I am not in a position to say when construction work will commence.

Question No. 89 withdrawn.
