asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism if he will ensure that in the implementation of the recommendations contained in the recently issued White Paper on tourism, the investigation into the effectiveness of expenditure in the tourism sector will be entrusted to an Irish firm of consultants.

The Government consider it essential that the consultant selected should have international experience of tourism. I can assure the Deputy that Irish firms which satisfy this criterion will be seriously considered for the assignment.
