Vol. 361 No. 6

Written Answers. - IDA Industrial Projects.

21.

asked the Minister for Industry, Trade, Commerce and Tourism if, in view of the high levels of unemployment in the area, the IDA has any plans to locate new industries in the Finglas-Ballymun area of Dublin.

The IDA are actively promoting the Finglas-Ballymun area for suitable industrial projects. In Finglas the IDA has two factory units of 28,300 square feet and 44,750 square feet. An existing company will shortly re-locate in the 44,750 square feet factory resulting in additional employment opportunities.

The IDA are promoting two 42,000 square feet factories and a 10,000 square feet factory at the Airways Industrial Estate and a 9,500 square feet factory at Santry. These are suitable for both domestic and overseas projects. The IDA also have an 18 acre site in Finglas and a 20 acre site at Santry which are available for industrial projects.
