Vol. 361 No. 6

Written Answers. - Housing Finance Agency Funds.

59.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he is satisfied that sufficient funds will be available to each local authority from the Housing Finance Agency in 1985 to enable all loans to be paid without delay.

A further £6 million is being allocated to the Housing Finance Agency bringing their total allocation for 1985 to £86 million, representing an increase of £21 million over the amount originally provided in the Public Capital Programme. I am confident that this will enable the agency to provide sufficient funds to local authorities to ensure that there will be no delay in the payment of loans as they mature.
