Vol. 361 No. 6

Written Answers. - Teamwork Scheme

114.

asked the Minister for Labour the reason an application under the Teamwork scheme, submitted by the West Finglas Tenants' Association Unemployment Committee, was refused.

Due to the exceptional demand for assistance under Teamwork in 1985, it was not possible to assist all applications received. The application from the West Finglas Tenants' Association Unemployment Committee was not among those which could be approved for assistance, but the committee was informed that it could submit a new application in respect of 1986. It was suggested also to the committee that it might consider submitting an application for assistance under my Department's social employment scheme. The committee was furnished with details of that scheme and advised to consult the local national manpower service office for further information.
