Vol. 362 No. 1

Written Answers. - Agricultural Grant.

186.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a cow suckler scheme grant was not paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork in view of the fact that he spends more than 50 per cent of his time working on the farm.

The person named has been deemed ineligible for 1985 EC suckler cow premium because he stated that his off-farm income exceeded his on-farm income for the income tax year ended 5 April 1985. He will be paid his cattle headage grant under the 1985 disadvantaged areas schemes and his calf premium as soon as the batches which include his payments are processed.
