asked the Minister for the Environment when a contractor will be appointed for the erection of new houses at Cloghan, County Offaly, as the tenders are with his Department for approval.

Offaly County Council have requested unit cost approval for a scheme of four houses at Cloghan. I hope to be in a position to make a decision in the matter in the near future.

asked the Minister for the Environment when approval will be given for the erection of the new housing scheme at Ferbane, County Offaly, as the necessary documents are with his Department for approval.

Cost and layout plans for 62 houses at Ferbane are currently under examination in my Department. When this examination has been completed the carrying out of the scheme on a phased basis will be considered in the light of current housing needs of the area.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position in regard to an application by Offaly County Council for the erection of houses at Kilcormac, County Offaly, as the necessary documents are with his Department for approval.

Design proposals for a 14 house scheme at Kilcormac were approved by my Department last June. The relevant tender documentation has not yet been submitted to the Department.
