Vol. 362 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dingle (Kerry) Harbour.

103.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry when he will be in a position to make a statement regarding the development of Dingle harbour, County Kerry.

A committee, representative of my Department and other interests in the Corca Dhuibhne district, has recommended Dingle as being the most suitable harbour for development in the area. The Office of Public Works has accordingly been requested to supply an engineering report and estimate of cost for the dredging of the harbour. Until this report has been received and examined and the project assessed in the light of the funds available to my Department for fishery harbour development works I am not in a position to say what works can be undertaken at this harbour.
